Deep Waterfront

FEATURED PROJECT

DEEP WATERFRONT

Perched above one of Sydney's coveted waterways in Pittwater. Our brief was to construct a retaining wall system clad in timber and stone, paired with a full landscape build that would turn a steep, awkward slope into an effortless descent to the water.

The retaining structure forms the backbone of the design, corten steel edging and cobble paving thread through the site, giving each level of the garden its own material identity while keeping the overall palette cohesive and warm. Every finish was chosen and built to weather beautifully in a harsh coastal environment. Curved retaining lines carry through into both the front and back gardens, breaking up the site into a series of considered, intimate spaces rather than one long run.

The result is a genuinely iconic Pittwater property, one where the hard landscaping and construction work as hard as the garden design to create a seamless, elegant path from home to water.
